I hate Wise

Can the traffic patterns be any more of a clstrfk?

Coming from the college, make that sweeping turn at the end of town and have to stop. Yep, traffic backed all the way up to the curve. Took 10 minutes to get to Sportswise.

Just five minutes to get through town on the way back home though.

Well, you can always complain to the town of Wise and I'm sure the mayor or town manager would be happy to set up a $20K to $30K study to try and figure out what's the best thing to do to fix the problem. (Remember the round about idea?) Then in about 30 years when Wise has no traffic because it's become a ghost town they may actually do something about it. I think they've been studying that intersection for the last 10 years and it doesn't seem like they're in a big hurry to do anything about it.

Seriously I know like... Famous people or some presidents or something stayed there... but come on.... same goes for norton right next China Cafe can we get this heap of [censored] out of my town, either build something or don't...

The China Cafe/Jefferson/skeleton building have recently changed hands. The new owers are considering alternatives.

It always changes hands. What are they going to put there? There is barely any parking and we know that aint going to tear down the jefferson. Seems like a waste of bs. Just tear it down and be gone with it.

The skeleton in Norton was built and stopped exactly the way George Hunnicut wanted it to be. He was bickering with the cityover something so he done this to get back at them and there was nothing they could do about it.

You have no taste if you think that hotel is an eye sore. It needs to be restored. If it's left to collapse, it will be a piece of history down the drain. But then again most people could care less now days. Its attitudes like that that cause people to look at it like an eyesore. It is part of our history. If you tear it down eventually no one will ever remember it. If you cant remember where you've been how do you know where you are going?

I would love to see it refurbished, if only someone with enough disposable $ would come along and do something. It would take someone willing to take a loss on the job. This would be a multi-million dollar project.

I have read that the basic structure is fine, that the building can still stand. But everything else is just a mess: doors windows porches railings walls ceiling. It's rotten from the outside in.

I'd love to see reburbishment happen, but we've been waiting how many years now? No luck yet.

I wasnt talking about that junk in Norton, tear it down more power to ya! I'll help! I was talking about the in at wise, and I assumed Notsosilentbob was as well since he was talking about wise.
